What I did, was called up asking if my Xbox was able to be repaired, asking if it was still in warranty, so they asked for my console's serial number, I gave them the serial and they told me my console had been banned for violation of terms and conditions and they asked me if I needed any more assistance, I said no, and the call was over. It'd the only real way to check if it's safe banned or not, and there's nothing wrong with doing it. If you're console is still in warranty, just say thanks and that's the call over.

Ok so ever since the Ban Hammer began its daily sweeps, i havent logged into LIVE.

Ive been using a friends elite to play MW2. The problem now is he needs his box back.

So i decided to call XBOX to find out info on my warranty.

1st call: Warranty still available until 1/25/2010, plus 2 years after for RROD and E74 ERROR. Sounds good...

2nd call: Explained to rep, how i was trying to request a repair to see if warranty was still active, but site gives me error message. He explained that the site could be doing updates. Check my S/N, and again they confirm my eligibility for repairs and that i have 3 more days, and 2 more years for RROD & E74 ERROR.

So i guess i have not been flagged, and i can sign on again.

    Any suggestions/ opinions. Thx

Reflash your drive to stock. Accept latest xbox live update. Flash your drive with LT. Reburn your games with ssv2 and SplitVid. Don't play Mass Effect 2 or any other game before release. Go online!

So it would not be smart to start logging onto LIVE without updating the FW??

to play online you have to have the latest firmware what he is saying is besure to stock firmware in your dvd drive before updating your xbox then reflash your dvd drive with the new ixtreme LT i think its 1.7

LT would be the Firmware (there is no number associated with it since it is the first release of LT and hopefully all we will ever need but thats doubtfull) 1.7(0) would be the newest version of Jungleflasher to be used with LT

My question is wouldnt it be easier to just apply live updates from disc instead of reflashing to stock and then back to LT? sure you may have to wait a few days or a week whatever for the newest gamedisc release with that update but it would seem easier than flashing all the time when an update is released. esp with some saying LT cannot be dumped once applied.

A console that is not flashed will never ever get banned. even if you switch hard drives between a banned and a non banned 360 your non banned, unflashed 360 will still not get banned.

if you swap the hdd back to the unbanned box and use the same profile then the gamerscore/achievments you got while on the banned box will not carry over to the unbanned box so there isnt much point when talking about gamerscore. the only point to keeping a banned box if not jtagging it is just so you can play games without the risk of banning the new box. but no u wont get banned, tons of people have done it including myself.

Though if you uncorrupt the profile before transferring it to the unbanned box, are you not able to transfer achievements over then with your profile?

when you put it on the banned box it then becomes corrupt again so when you take back to the unbanned box you have to recover gamertag again. that was my expereince

There is a way of uncorrupting the profile but you have to do it every time you want to switch between consoles. Its not that much hassle unless your switching back and forth everyday.

HDD has nothing to do with being banned. unless you are diting it and hacking gamesaves or arcade games then dont worry.

a profile gets corrupted when uesed on a banned box. so to uncorrup you have to delete and recover it over xbox live with an unbanned box. if you then use that profile on a banned box again it will be corrupt all over again and when you move it back to the unbanned box you have to delete and recover again....... that was in english
