Does anyone know where i could purchase the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI motherboard. I wish it was at Microcenter or Compusa, but it isnt. I really havent bought anything online so does anyone have a suggestion or like a good trustworthy online store.

SLI = Scalable Link Interface Two cards function as one . I'd basically call it running two video cards in RAID 0. Albeit I don't think the system just sees one card. I think one video card renders top half of the screen and one the bottom, or left and right. Not sure. At least that's how the old 3dfx system worked that they stole it from.

Oh yeah, lol. The original poster's question. I'd get it from newegg.com From my experiences, they don't always have the absolute lowest prices, but their service and support are usually unrivaled. Great place to shop from. I found them a few years back and haven't bothered ordering anything from anywhere else since.

Yeah, SLI will only be for extreme enthusiasts. Rich ones at that.

If you guys are planning on getting two 6600 models and running them in SLI, I'd read the newest tomshardware review. They tested SLI with two 6600 GTs and they couldn't keep up with one 6800 Ultra. Albeit, it'd be pretty friggin sweet to run two 6800 Ultras (even if it is useless).

I play all of my games at max setting, 1600x1200 counter strike source and I have no problems with it. Right now im waiting for windows 64 bit or the longhorn to come out. Go with Asus A8N SLI Deluxe is worth the money people.

Order a full new system from Newegg- amd 3500+ newcastle, msi neo4 platinum sli, 1G dual channel ddr400, 2 leadtek 6800gt's, aspire case w/ 500w PS, double layer dvd burner, the whole enchilada! the newegg site rules and made purchasing easy. Board and case went to gether with ease, no troubles, no bios erors, make sure you read the specs for the memory. This board rocks!
