MSI main board Bios fault

    I have an MSI Motherboard with a P4 chip and when i do a windows xp repair it goes really slow like 10 hrs to copy the XP files to the HDD i think it needs a bios upgrade i need W7060 sms greater than version 2 if anyone has it can u PM meor if you think it could be something else pease voice your oppinion

    a bios upgrade can usually be downloaded for the manufactures web site using any third party upgrade is very risky at best if this problem has only started recently I doubt that an upgrade is your answer check your bios settings make sure dma etc are all set to auto or try using the load bios defaults if you do decide to go with a bios upgrade follow the instructions CAREFULLY as you can end up with no motherboard instead of a slow one

    I found the problem i needed to reset the bios with the jumpers not just the battery
