Have a MSI TV@nywhere Plus TV Tuner. Love the card. Works great. Just upgraded to XP Media Center. TV does not work in Media center. Found out you need a Media Center TV card. Hate to buy a new card. Are there any programs or drivers out there that will allow me to use the card with media center?
I would say not, this is why a lot of people arent using MCE, try a free program call Media Portal http://www.team-mediaportal.com/ way better and good support from all around the world.
hi everyone, new to the forums. I have purchased a tv @nywhere plus a few months back. i have sent it back two times for the same issues and just recieved a new one from msi themselves yesterday. the issue i keep having is when booting up after installing the card the found new hardware wizard comes up and say's (there was a problem installing this hardware "multi media controller" an error occured during the installation of the device. the data is invalid. i try to install the drivers and it say's the wdm driver installation failed. i have spoke with msi for several hours total with no resolve. i'm running windows xp pro, intel celeron d340 2.93, 512ddr pc3200, ati 128mb video card, sound blaster audigy sound card. i built this recently myself all possible updates complete, including bios. please any ideas let me know i need the help.
Don't think you have the same problem. My card works great. The problem I have is the the card does not work with xp media center. Works with XP but not media. Need a mpeg2 plug-in for media center. See that CyberLink just Launched a program, but not out yet or I can not find it. Any other way?
Could anyone please help me programming my newly installed TV@nywhere get only one chanel and no sound. Running Xp. Please be basic Iam new at this Thanks
I do not have this card but mine (Avermedia 1500MCE) would work with XpHome but not Medicenter. Had to go to manufactures website and download a driver for them to work together. I could not install the actual software program that changes the channels because Media center already has this. After that I just set it up in My TV and its fine.
This card will not work with xp media center because it does not have a onboard mpeg2 deoder. i treied everyway out there then bought a hauppauge 150 and got MCE drivers from site and works great!
MicroStar (MSI) TV @nyWhere Plus (PCI) To set the TV system up: 1. Right click on the orb panel or the screen. 2. Select, Reset TV Frequency Table 3. Choose your country / TV System and click on Next. 4. Select your Scan options, Antenna, cable, etc. and click Next. 5. Click Start to rescan the system. Make sure you have the cable plugged in, or an antenna connection connected to the PCI card's 'L' bracket. 6. When the scan is complete, click Next. The system should now work.

man, then what can i do, like is there any program? although i download a media centre software from http://www.team-mediaportal.com/ , but still aint workin, says the same thing, soo u got any program thats just like media centre?
thats a good point, but i bought the tv tuner for mce, guess i have to return it, but tell me what is a capable tv tuner for mce?
I just installed MSI DigiVox A/D USB card on a windows XP media edition notebook (Acer Core 2 Duo). Running under its own software (ie not in media centre) it work both analogue and digital. It is a bit clunky, sometimes will not open without reeboot, but picture quality very good. Takes over 30 secs to change digital channels sometimes/sometimes freezes. Under media centre it just says cant find tuner - despite the box it came in saying its mce compliant. MSI help site first said it doesnt work with MCE which is wrong. Then they said digital will work - analogue will not. My understanding is MCE does both but not switchable, you have to go through MCE setup. Anyhow I am now in touch with MSI Austalian office trying to resolve the MCE problem. Will keep you posted if you wish. Regards, Doedau.
