Hi all; I'm working a family members computer here, older laptop running xp sp2 with all current updates. PC is virus and spyware/malware free. She is trying to connect to msn messenger but sign in just sits at signing in forever. I have run all the connection test thru messenger and they _all pass. I have no clue where to look now. anyone run into anything like this? or have any suggestions. Cheers, Kali
Hi I've had that problem before. Try this: uninstall the msn messenger you have that has the problem, is it windows live?, and install the older one, then install the new one. That's what I did and it fixed the problem. It could also be that your firewall is blocking msn but try my first step before editing the firewall settings. Hope it works.
