First I must say I had had 4 hours of sleep the past 3 nights because of a busy work day so i fell for the dumbest trick ever where my friend asked me in a msn message... "can i add this photo of you to my Myspace" and i opened the file and clicked it and instantly realized that was a bad idea. Dos prompt popped up and then was gone.

Anyway my friends started reciving the same message I did I ran a scan with Kaspersky, NOD32, AVG, Trend Micro, Spybot SD, did a registry cleanup deleted a few files that were fishy and the messages have stopped as far as I know and from what my friends have told me. This is my hijack log...to be safe...although I am thinking of formatting cause I do use internet banking alot and I don't want to have to use my laptop all the time for that.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    hi,

your hjt log looks ok, but thats no clear cut evidence. i see you have spybot. i dont see a resident anitvirus app in the log. online scans are great but a resident av offers real time protection. you could install and scan with a 2nd anti-malware app and repeat a online scan once more.
if they are coming up clean and your friends are no longer getting e-mails then i would consider myself malware free.

yah I deleted spybot after I am using Kaspersky AV for my resident now...I prefer it as it is light on memory and performs it's duties without me really noticing it's there. Thanks for the help!!
