Anyone experience error number 8100030d when trying to sign into msn? I have the latest version of msn, and i'm using windows vista home premium. I've checked microsoft's support page and the error isn't even there! But i google it and it seems alot of people have this issue, but i keep finding different answers. Anyone know of a sure fire way to fix this?
Managed to scratch this up from the first Google result, just try it. Open Windows Explorer (My Documents or something) and click Tools>Folder options. Click the View tab, and enable hidden folders and files. Clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box. Click OK to close the Folder Options window. Delete the data inside these files: C:\Users\ Your Windows logon name \Contacts\ Your Messenger e-mail address C:\Users\ Your Windows logon name \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts\ Your Messenger e-mail address Eg; C:\Users\Alex\Contacts\Emailadress@bigpond.com
hmmm, that actually worked for a few minutes. When I tried that it allowed me to sign in but when i signed out then tried again the error popped up. I went back and checked those folders and all that data was back there, so each time i want on msn i have to clear the folders.
