have an LG GSA-4166b that's less than 3 months old, firmware version not even listed yet for update. It has no problem recognizing dvd's, but does not recognize any type of cd. Was working good for burning cd's until I burnt several dvd's and light-scribed them. Any thoughts?
Check to see that your ASPI isnt corrupt...using this tool. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/nero_info_tool.cfm BTW, you don't mention which firmware version you are using, but the most current I could find is 1.02 and can be found here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2209
