I'm currently downloading lots of different video clips (live band performances) and I'm gonna put them all on VCD. I was wondering if it would be better to merge them all to make one file or is it possible that I could store each one as a different track? How many different tracks can I store on VCD?

Everyone does their file system differntly. It doesn't bother me to put a 100 megabyte file on 1 cd-r because blank cd-r's are very cheap these days. You can merge if you like, but if the frame width and height are different for some of the files, the playback would be annoying. You would see widescreen, then full screen, back and forth. I would rip each file seperate or merge widescreen with widescreen, full screen with full screen. If your home dvd player supports SVCD format, I strongly encourage you download MPEG2 as the video quality is far superior than VCD (MPEG1)
