I have a question...i'm thinking of getting a replacement case to use full size dvd-rs and to have as many games on a disk as i can fit, but i read the laser only goes out so far, and i used a clear cd to see how far it goes about 3/4 of a disk. whats the use of full sized dvds if you cant use all of the disk. Is it just cost a issue saving money using bigger disks? how much can you use of the full size dvd? just 1.4 gigs or what?
im new to the gamecube modding im waiting to istall my chip when it arrives. my xbox and ps2 are modded so im not that new to modding.
    thanx ahead of time. :)

Yep, the only point of a replacement case is to save $ on MiniDVD or, if MiniDVD is not available to you (i.e. you can't buy them online, they won't ship to you etc). You can only use 1.4 gb of a fullsize DVD when burning Gamecube games. However, 1.4gb is still enough to put a couple of small games on 1 disc using your favorite multi-boot tool.
