Help! I just formated my HD, reinstalled windows xp, and I am getting no sound. From device manager I cannot update the driver for my multimedia audio controller, which has a yellow question mark or something next to it. I have been to several driver sites and read multiple threads. AIDA32 says I have an Intel 82801EB ICH5 - AC'97 Audio controller, I know several people have posted on this same issue, but I can't seem to find a solution......thanks

Open the case, ID the motherboard, go to the manufacturer's site, and download the audio driver.

if this is a store bought computer such as HP, Dell, Gateway... go to the manufacturers website, and click on their "support" section. You should be able to type in the model number of your computer and be able to download all the drivers you need.
