Hi people I have multiple AVI files that I would like to convert to a VCD. Is it possible? How? What is the max amout of AVI's I can put on one VCD? Is it possible to add menus to create an almost DVD type VCD like say Friends where you can choose different episodes? Lastly I was going to use my Pioneer A105 DVD-R to make the VCD would this be okay? Sorry for the amount of questions, I'm new to all this but I'm a quick learner, I promise!!! Gogz
Its not the amount of avi files!! its the time altogether. For a 700mb disk, no more than 80mins should be burned!! You can make vcd menus but basically they suck so dont bother, you can make chapters though! If you have a pioneer ao5, why do you burn vcd when you could get a program to copy friends episodes from a dvd?? but yes it should burn perfectly!!
Sorry Dela I was using Friends as an example, if truth be told I was going to download various episodes of, em, well, "He-man" (sad I know, but he was part of my childhood and I wanted to reminisce) off of Kazaa and try to save them on to something like a VCD and have menus to show what episode was what, like they have on Friends DVD's. So would this chapters thingy work if I was to go ahead with it all and what would I need for making the AVI's into a VCD with Chapters. Cheers Gogz
Well first go to http://www.afterdawn.com/articles read about encoding to vcd from divx! then use VCDEasy for your chapters VCDEasy http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/vcdeasy.cfm
