Is there a way in Shrink to burn more than one copy without having to backup everytime? I know Shrink doesn't burn but when it automatically goes to searching for disc to burn onto it does not ask how many copies? Thanks!

Just save the files or folder to your HDD. Then use ImgBurn.
You can make as many copies as you want.

Can't see why you would want to have more than ONE back-up laying around, but if you Have Two or more Burners, Use NERO. It will burn more than 1 Copy at a Time, and I think it will ask you How Many.

    Imgburn is Way Better.

IMO multi-session burning is the only advantage Nero has over Imgburn.

Imgburn just updated yesterday, by the way.

That all depends on how you like to work.

I personally have no need for multisession and actually don't like it much. If I want to burn something, I'll burn enough to fill a disc or burn to a rewritable. If I need to add more, I'll just burn it all again - but then it's my own fault for not remembering that extra bit in the first place.

If I can't wait the extra few mins to burn the disc again (CDs/DVDs are for archival purposes so there should never be a rush), I'd use a memory stick - in fact, I almost always use a memory stick over cd/dvd.

So in short, I don't know when (if ever) it'll be implemented. Sorry.

You can set ImgBurn to as much as 100 copies.
Where did this multisession come from? I thought this was about multiple copies.

imgburn doesn't have an option to use multiple burners at the same time though, like nero does.

    1. open Nero Burning ROM
    2. choses the file
    3. highlight all burners you want to use
    4. BURN!

The difference, as stated, is that Imgburn won't utilize multiple burners whereas Nero will.

In short, you can select to burn multiple copies utilizing one burner with Imgburn.

Or one could burn using multiple burners via Nero.

Why would you want multiple copies of a movie anyway? Unless it was a home movie. If you lose or damage your backup copy, just remake one using the original disc.

Simple - kids and their sticky fingers.
If it's just a backup of a backup then yes, just burn another. However if you have to go back and rip the original (retail) in my case more often than not that means running the original disc thru DVD Rebuilder (45 mins encoding) then burning again ..it's far easier to make the kids their own backup at the same time as making a master backup.

I burn more than 1 copy all the time so I don't have to do the work all over again. I just set ImgBurn for 2 or 3 copies.

Simplest solution: Assuming the 'backed-up' DVD is still in playable condition; put it in the top master drive (if you have one) and a blank disc in the secondary DVD writer and hit 'copy' using Nero or Roxio, etc.
If not, get a DVD-ROM drive or even a DVD writer as 'Master', they costs more or less $20US.

If you have 'ANYDVD' running in the background, I believe you can use the original disc as master and duplicate on the fly if the movie is under 4.3GB.
