I've read over the guides, but i'm just a little bit confused.

I do not believe I want to merge the multiple avi's as the guide in several sites, even dvd-guides. But wish to put 3 or 4 episodes (each around 350-400megs currently) along with the subtitles. Each avi file of course has its own srt file.

But it looks like using the methods i've seen, that it only is written for one file.

    How would I do this?

Even easier (?) would be just burning the avi's along with the srt files to a dvd, my dvd player reads divx. Is this possible?

I have the Philips 642 DVD player. And I did burn a few test avi's with the subs onto a dvd. They play fine, but the subs would not come on. When I hit the subtitle button, I would just get the hand icon.
