Hi guys and in advance thanks for any help you guys can give me. Firstly I am very new to Blu Ray authoring and burning etc. But am very experienced in dvd authoring etc. My question is this, I have a bunch of mkv HD movies and have recently installed a blu ray DL burner and am finally in recipet of some long awaited media. What I would like to do is burn 3 or 4 films to one BLU RAY. Most films are 4.7GB 720p and I figure that a DUAL LAYER BD-RE will easily hold around 10 films. I am currently using tsMuxeR GUI 1.8.35 to make a BLU RAY output of thed MKV files (BDMV AND CERTIFICATE)then buring with IMG BURN. So all I would like to know is how to add 5 or 6 of these to 1 disk. I am sure it can be done and would appreciate any help.
I am slightly confused as to what exactly you are trying to achieve: is it to have a Blu-ray (BD) disc with separate *.mkv files which can be played within a software player, like Zoomplayer or even WMP11? Or have them joined, so each movie start is effectively a chapter point? Or to have the disc set up like a BD with menus, etc.? If the first, then can't you just add the files to fill the BD disc inside ImgBurn & burn them. If the second, then you can use a programme called mkvtoolnix, from here[/url.]Install & open a programme called mmg.exe. Just add all the files you wish to merge, select output directory & merge. You can set chapter points for them is you wish. The last: can't assist you with as I don't backup to anything other than mkv.
Sorry if I wasnt clear. The resulting BD DISK is to be used on a standalone panny dbp 35 and yes I have 5 or 6 films that i would like to put on 1 DL or SL BD-RE. After many hours trawling the net, I have found a few saying you can add a group of mkv's to TsmuxeR for example and bulid a blu ray disk. There is rumour that all these fiules would have to be the exact same format and resolution/audio etc.
OK. Clarified:thanks. BD-RE wasn't a disc format I recognised as it won't be something I will experiment with for quite some time, given its expense where I live. Question: could you still not join the *.mkvs into one merged file using mmg.exe, as I stated, & then go from there? Using TSMuxer afterwards, to form chapter points for both the beiginning of each movie, as well as the internal movie chapters, & make a single *.m2ts file, which could then be burned with imgburn?? Just a thought. Given they are a rewritable disc, you could try it with no loss of your discs. I've never before formated to an acceptable stand-alone disc as I don't use them: I just use my HTPC for playback.
Thanks for the reply and YES they are re-writable so there is no risk of wasting my disc. Its a shame that the panny bdp35 doesnt support Divx9/7 or whateveer it is (.MKV) because it would be immense to just be able to out all the mkv files directly onto the disc and choose which to play with the cd browser on it. I am sure that this is being worked on as .MKV seems to be the Divx/Xvid of DVD authoring we have grown to know and love. Lets hope it comes soon and if its via a firmware upgrade on the panny then all the better
Hi Friend. This might be what you are looking for maybe.. Code: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=143744 It works fine for me on mine Panny BD-P35.. Cheers
WOW Awesome find buddy and YES I think this might just do the trick! Although along my travels with this software AND again much more internet traling I have found the MIAN problem to my WOES! NONE of the mkv;s that I have are of the right resolution i.e.non compliant for the avchd profile. Now all i need is a FAST way to re size from 1280x544:544p to a compliant 1920/1080:1080p or 1280x720:720p resolution. I have already looked at uncropMKV app which works but 7 hours for 1 4.7gb mkv! jeez there has to be a quicker way
Mate thanks for your help so fr, you are a saint. Is there any guide to using this m8 or a small tut? I will have a play in the meantime. Cheers
