Hello: I think this was asked/answered before, but I can't find anything relevant in Search. I have a few movies that are special editions with more than one disc. Is there anyway to compress them, without forsaking quality, onto one disc? I'm trying to save DVDs. Thanks, Kegan

Thread moved to dvd±r for newbies.

I don't usually participate in forums anymore.... but what the hell... Your question is very broad. Of course it is posisble to fit two movies onto one DVD (much better if you are using dual layer media, almopst double capacity) but even with just short movies, quality loss is inevitable - unless of course both movies will stay below 4.38GB or 8.5GB before compression (highly doubtful foir the former).

THere aren't much guides on AfterDawn to help you but here's one to using DVD Shrink for getyting two movies on a DVD.

    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/multiple_dvd_to_dvdr_dvd_shrink.cfm

Lot of problems with that one tho, like DVD Shrink can't create a menu for you and you will most definitely suffer some quality loss. I think your best shot at getting this done and getting good resulkts is responses from friendly knowledgeable members here :)

    Thanks for dropping by.
