I just posted a problem about not being able to finish a burn because disk-at-once would not finish.
I updated my firmware on my Pioneer DVR-106D and tried to burn another dvd and got a disk that nothing recognizes and Nero wont even verify.
I have been destroying all of dvd-rs lately so I am getting a little frustrated.
I have never had any problems before.
    PLease help!
    Here is a history file?
    Thanks

First of all, edit out your serial no at the top of the page, begins with 1A23 XXXX XXXX XXXX

Your Nero is several versions behind, update from here
    http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe

needs to be on, go here for guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038

you need to free up some memory, dont multitask and close down any unnecessary programs while burning

Thats just a few things I noticed, may be more but fix those and see how you go.

I would un-check that data verification as it looked like the burn made it but the verify failed. And verify doesn't do anything you couldn't do yourself by watching the movie. Also if verification fails, what's it going to do? It cant change the data unless you are using a RW disc.
Also you could try some different media. The Riteks are ok, but to make sure media isnt an issue, use Verbatims or Taiyo Yuden discs.

    Thanks
I'll do those things but the burn didnt actually make it.
It said it did but when I went to play it nothing would recognize it.
By the way,I am using an older copy of Nero that I never had to pay for.
Does it really cost $77.00 for a newer version of Nero?
    That seems like allot.
Are there other places that sell it for less?

If you have an old copy of Nero, you should be able to update the Version 6 without paying anything. Only if you wanted to go to version 7 would you have to pay. Until then, you can continue to update version 6, and right now, it seems to be more stable than Nero 7.
And the latest version of Nero 6x is 6.6.1.4 It came out Jan 31, 2006.
