I'm really struggling with this, help would be greatly appreciated. My issue: I have my folder with 20 vids in it, that I converted to .vob's, so those are ready in their TS-audio/video folder. Burned them with Nero 6.3. Played on stand alone player, worked. However: To access the second video, or third, forth etc. I have to 'fast forward' through the first one, then the second, then the third etc. to get to the others videos further on through the DVD. I'm going nuts on how to figure out how to mount the videos, but to be able to access various videos by hitting "NEXT" on my DVD remote. You know, to quickly click through the videos to play them, rather then having to "Fast Forward" through the DVD. I hope this makes sense Thank you very much for taking the time to read. ps: Do I have to make menus or something else?! Confussed.
Someone else may be able to tell you how to do it using Nero tools. I only use Nero for burning so I can't. Take a look at DvdAuthorGUI freeware. It's very easy to add chapter points using it. The only issue is the vob files. It DvdAuthorGUI likes them, you can load them directly as titles. If not, then you'll need some tool to demultiplex them into separate video and audio files. But for each title hit the Chapter button and just add the times of the chapter points. I keep several text files with times every 8 min. every 10 min. every 15 min. etc. that I just paste in since I use DvdAuthorGUI a lot. Also if you search on "DvdAuthorGUI Guide" you should get a guide showing basic DVD Authoring with simple menus and chapters. Try just loading the vobs in DvdAuthorGUI. If it says something about "vobs don't have..." then you need to demultiplex. You can use IfoEdit or TMPGEnc and prolly a bunch of other tools to demultiplex vobs. If you get stuck post again.
