Hi, I am just wondering does anyone have difficulties backing up Musashi Samurai Legend? I tried to back up using DVD Decryptor but it kept giving me an error. I've backup more than 30 games and this is the first time I ran into this. Does anyone has the same problem or solutions?
It gave me this I/O error with with a bunch of number, I think it's refering to the sectors of the disks. Unrecoverable read error. The disk is a brand new one, no scratches.... I've heard people having problems with this disks. Did anyone manage to burn a successful copy?
those errors are usually due to scratched discs like I mentioned but, you say the disc is brand new and scratch free so, one can only assume there's something wrong with your burner. Have you tried making an image of other games?
Thanks for the reply. Yes I've always used the same burner for other games and those are fine. I've also tried to read the disk from a different DVD-ROM and I got the same result. My main burner is a Plextor 716A, have no spec for the other one. So no one has any problems with this game then?
I meant have you tried making images of other games with the same drive recently (after receiving errors with musashi). If you keep getting the same error from other drives then it has to be the disc because I haven't heard of anyone else having problems with this. If you're 150% sure it's not the disc then you can check aspi drivers I guess here's a link for the aspi driver checker ftp://ftp.adaptec.com/software_pc/aspi/aspichk.exe and the latest aspi drivers http://connect.adaptec.com/cgi-bin/license-download.pl
Thanks for the reply again. I checked my ASPI and everything seems to be in order, but just in case, I updated it again. Also updated the firmware of my drive. It is still giving me errors but this time it said something like "servo error: target not met". It still stops at the same sector. Yes I have been backing up with the same drive recently and everything seem fine... It must be the disk then, but it's a brand new one with no scratches.... Really clueless here, but then this is not a new protection scheme?
