OK, Im a nube and I freely admit it. But how do I get music I have downloaded from sources other than Itunes to load onto my Ipod. I have copied them into Itunes, but I get a message that says they cant be loaded onto my Ipod. Is there a conversion program that I can download to enable me to use songs from Limewire, etc on my Ipod? Thanks!
There are many conversion proggys. Check the guide I put together FMI http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/244629 =)
thanks for the post, However.... all the info on this thread is for video conversion. I am only interested in AUDIO. I would like to be able to load all of my music library onto my ipod, regardless of origin. Perhaps I am missing something here, any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Em about Audio what are the file formatts you downloaded? If it is mp3 and AAC you can play them... And there is in iTunes when you press right click on a audio file there is an option of converting to AAC.
This program will let you bypass itunes alltogether, http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Section=iPod+Programs&Page=SharePod#get_started
Sorry bout that. Right. If you load your music into your library in .mp3 or .aac fomat, then update and they don't load up, then audio type is not the issue. By the way, it doesn't matter where you get the audio from either so long as it is in one of the compatible formats. I know that most of the tunes found on limewire are mp3's so maybe the issue lies elsewhere. Give us some feed..
