hey, i have a modded xbox, and i need help. i originally put music on the unit, before i modded it, and now it wont delete so i can put new music on it. i can, however, put music on the xbox, but it wont play in games. if i do try to put music on in the original screen, it has a messege that goes something like.. "no hard drive space to put music." my xbox and computer are not networked, so i cant do that. that is the next step, but i would greatly appreciate anything before i have to spend money on something that could be easy.... any help???

You are probably out of space on E.
The xbox dash puts music in a different place, than say if you are using a modded dash. You can't ftp, copy music into E:\Music and expect it to play i game, it won't. Xbox music is located in E:\Tdata\somefoler?
Don't remember off the top of my head.
You will have to delete some stuff it looks like.

Or F, I just assumed you had a softmod or something like most people on here.

Anyway, the soundtrack muisc you copy from msdashboard is stored here.

    E:\tdata\fffe0000\music\

It sorts them one soundtrack at a time, first is folder 0000, next is folder 0001, and names the files 00000001, 00000002
Or if folder 0001, names them 00010001,00010002...and so on. Kind of confusing, plus there is a database folder called ST.db in there.
There is a soundtrack editor somewhere out there.

If you have an F, you have 2gigs on F and 5 gigs on E, minus whatever apps and your savegames. Use slayers to copy all apps to F, then you can use all of E for games/music.
