I know that you can buy an adapter for to connect a USB Flash drive to the xbox because of its usb interface. However, i would like to know if it would be possible to put music on the flash drive and then transfer it to the xbox HDD. FYI im talking about the original Xbox, im poor and cant afford a 360.

You can also set up a network for your computers to share files then access your computer with your xbox though your network. I usually play video files that are located on my download computer so i don't have to transfer the whole video file to the xbox to play it. With xbmc you can access pictures, videos, and music.

I'm sure if you search you will find a tutorial that will teach you how to share files through your network , but if you're having problems just ask here and i will help you.

Yes I have a network set up with shared folders, but do you need to install xmbc on the actual xbox? If so then how. Also when using filezilla it says im connected to server 192.168.1.102 (xbox ip) waiting for for welcome messege. Then it times out.
