Mute a part of the Audio

    Here is the deal.
    I have a tv episode that is dubbed. You can hear the english dialogue and the russian "over" that. What I would like to know if its possible to somehow just "mute" or lower the russian dialogue so that only the english can be heard. It doesnt need to be perfect. Any kind of help.. What software to use or tutorial.. ThanX ;)

    Does it sound like stereo with one language coming from the left and one from the right?
    This an audio cd or an mp3 or what?

    Avi file. Both dialogues comes from left and right.

    I don't see any help for it.
    Some Asian video has two languages, one on each stereo track, and it can be cured by removing the offending track with VirtualDub and Audacity, but this doesn't sound like the same scenario.
