    Hiya,

I lost my MUTV channel about a week ago now, the screen keeps saying 'code updating' but nothing is happening. This is the only channel out of all the channels that has been lost so I'm assuming that it has been put onto a new frequency?

Just wondering if anyone might know of this new frequency, or if thats not whats needed, what the problem might be?

I'm living in Limerick, using chorus.

Any help at all would be appreciated! This is one channel out of them all that I want!

    Thanks in advance! :)

    Hiya..
    thanks for the reply...
I've already done a manual scan and a powerscan. but it still wont work. it finds the channel but there is no picture or sound, just a black screen with a notice saying code being updated. its on frequency 364 for limerick, that right?

just the MU channel. everything else is as normal. all the other channels that would be under the same frequency as the MU channel are fine.

Try messing around with some of these frequencies: they work down in Limerick:

This Frequencies should give you a total of 106 channels including movies.
    363.000 371.000 290.000
    355.000 347.000 298.000
    339.000 386.000 306.000
    274.00 282.000 314.000
    322.000 378.000 386.000
    394.000 426.000 444.000
    410.000

    thanks des

just tried those. some I already have and have done a manual scan on.
the others don't work. the quality is low in the red. only about 10%.

    Any other ideas?

Also, forgot to mention, that it isnt just my box thats affected. I've asked around a few people in the area who have the box and their MU channel is missing too. and only that channel. strange..

    LOL!!!

This is for the eurovox as you mentioned "powerscan".

On the channels that are scrambled press info twice, take a note of the frequency then go to menu, User installation pin 0000, then highlight the problem freqs by pulling down on your remote , press OK so a tick shows then press the BLUE button for manual scan, screen will go blank for around 30 sec's but just wait for it to finnish, when you exit your channels should be working fine.

Edit, Dont worry ive been called worse ;)

On that channel press info twice, whats the signal strength %. also watch out for the signal jumping up and down.

the signal is fine. level and quality are both in the green @ a constant 82%, its not moving dramatically up or down.

everything is looking like it should be working but for some reason it isnt..

It may have moved freqs, BTW you didn't say what box you have.

Have you tried updating your channels or a factory default then a powerscan.

Its a eurovox cv3... (?) sorry im not hugely in the 'know' about these things, lol!

anyway... after trying a few manual scans on the frequencies to update channels, nothing was working so i did a full powerscan to start from scratch again and all the channels came back, but again MUTV had no picure or sound, just the 'code' notice.

i was thinking that it might have changed frequencies alright seeing that the same thing has happened to everyone that i know locally with eurovox, but i don't know even where to start looking to find the new frequency.

do you think a 'factory default' would help?
