hello everyone, just bought a new dvd writer asus 1608p 16 dvd writer, i am using nero v6.60013 to create 1:1 data dvd copies however the max speed available to select is 4x, can anyone help? and how can i use overspeed? media used samsung dvd-r 8x firmware 1.4 cpu 2.4 celeron mem 512
hi is the firmware upto date? this usaully covers this sort of problem. not heard of overspeed? se the drive reads the discs for info so it knows what it can throw it out at, may be the discs havent been covered in the new firmware yet, try some decent not cheap media like RITEK and see what happens? alsoi think nero has a tool in start menu under nero link for setting up read speeds on all drives, use it!
hi, thank you for replying this is the most recent firmware available on the asus website as for over speed it written on the retail box of the dvd writer its supposed to write @16x to 8x media
asa for nero i checked it it only controls read speeds not writing the problem is that nothing higher than 4x is mentioned!!have i been scammed?
