My broadband keeps cutting off every few hours and the signal is weak in the bedroom

I have v*rgin media and have 2 starviews. Ones a starview original and the others a starview 3. Obviously i have a splitter in my house for the two but for a while ive had a low signal for some of the channels (mainly 379.000 even after ive manually scanned them)on the super in the bedroom but the livingroom box is ok. My question is.....My broadband keeps cutting off every few hours and the signal is weak in the bedroom. Has either problem got anything to do with the splitter and if so, how do i rectify it? Try a new splitter and check that all your connections are fine.

 

Ive done it around a hundred times mate!!! What about buying a cable booster from fleabay? If i did, would i connect the booster before the cable is split or after? (Sorry but that sounds a little silly!!)

I know!! Just thought id check incase i was being a complete tit although now ive asked, u guys have made it easy for me!!!!!

 

Try it before and check your readings, if you are still having problems, try it after.
