Okay, I'm 16 years old...not really that computer advanced, but more so than everyone else in the family.

Our computer recently got WIPED...I mean EVERYTHING...I've had to re-load roxio and everything...

Well I tried copying a game CD and it just won't copy. So I manually took the files from the game CD and put them in a new project and burned them and for some reason it worked, yet the CD's not finalized and it won't read right.

Is there some kind of Driver I have to download or re-install? is there a program that will fix this maybe?

I'm running on Windows XP with an internal CD-R CD-RW burner. If you need to know any specifics you may have to tell me how I'd figure them out myself.

    Greatly Appreciated,
    Allyse

Install ASPI Layer 4.6>reboot.Try burning some "data" or mp3's using a free burning software called burnatonce and see if you still encounter the same problem.

What game might it be? (I suspect you are encountering the read errors from SD2/3 protection)

What brand name and model is your cd-burner? Check out our "2 sheep burner" list (sticky) as you enter CD-R forums. Hopefully your cd burner is on that list......

I am not a expert either but you may be in luck. Try installing REALONE PLAYER or reinstall hp 5001 Series if you have it.
Caution: Installing hp 5001 Series will delete ALL of your files such as,

.doc, .xls, .EXE, .Bmp, .jpg, .gif
