my cd burner won't read any cds at all. burner or cd-r's or cd-rw's, it jus wont read them. whenever i put the cd in it takes about 10 seconds to try to read and then it just gives a blinking light. and i've tried to leave the cd in the drive for about 5 mins and i took it out it was all scratched up on the back. this is the second time this has happened to me. can someone plz help me? plz i really need help with this.

was it scatched befor you put it in and how old is it
it could be that you have somthing jammed in there or its just old and your laser has had it.

the cd was in the drive and the drive was trying to load it up but i guess it wasn't. there is nothing stuck in the drive and the burner is only 7 months old. this same thing happened to my old burner after about 6 months and i can't find out what's wrong with it.

i burn once or twice in a month. i dont why this happened. i checked some other sites and they said that if the light blinks when u put the cd-r in the drive then you should try a different brand of cd but that doesn't work either. would there be something wrong inside the burner that i wouldn't know of that happens if you dont use your burner a lot.
can i get ur email or msn so i can talk to u there because this takes a while.
