my cd-rom drive isnt working?!?

    well i got a LG CD-RW GCE 8525B..
    windows sees it as working fine. it recognizes it and everything.. BUT after a given day for no reason (visible) it stoped reading (writing etc) cd's.
    If i look at it through windows it says "This device is working correctly"

    any ideas?!!?

    try cleaning the cd rom drive with a CD Cleaner and make sure the ide lead hasnt become unattached, or it could have became time for the cdrw to give up the ghost lol

    see if the disk is spinning as had to replace a new lg 52x cd burner in a new system with another lg as the drive was tempermental in spinning.
