My computer (I've had it a couple of years, it's a eMachines running Windows XP) has for some time ALWAYS installed updates on shutdown. It's as if the same things are being installed over and over again. Yet, if I go to Microsoft's Update site (when new security patches, etc., come out), it won't download any of them. I can click the button, but the files will not download (I've tried it several times on different occasions). MOST other files download with no problem. Has anybody ever seen this before, or know what a fix is?
