My computer is not working please help me

    i use to get an error message saying a disk error has occurred please press CTRL + ALT + DEL and restart i kept doing it with no luck so i searched on the net for some replies and i got the fixboot and the sch well it worked but NOW when i open the comp when it's loading on windows XP home logo it crashes.....and i can't do anything...........i can open the comp only on safemode.....i don't want to format my computer....if it's possible

    HELP ME PLEASE.......

    If I where you I would make a bartpe (need the free bartpe software and the windows installation cd). What you describe sounds like system file corruption, a simple chkdsk c: /f can usually fix that.

    bootup with the bartpe
    at the GO bottom open the command box and type chkdsk c: /f , after c: is finished do the same for all the other hard

    drive partitions example chkdsk e: /f and so on.

    If the command box doesnt work do following

    Go/programs/a43 file management utilitys

    Next rightclick on the C: partition/properties/tools/error checking

    Right here you can run a scandisk (make sure both boxes are check to fix errors), scandisk is similar to chkdsk.

    I would do that before trying to format the hard drive. Hopefully this can get the hard drive fix to where windows will recognize it again.

    now it does not crash but it gives me the error all over again CTRL + ALT + DEL but eventually after some time it let's me through
    I DID NOT TRY YOUR IDEA
