I some how lost the option in my right click menu to send objects to my burner ( D: ), If anyone can tell me how to fix, repair, return, I'd really appreciate it. Sometimes it's just easier to right click and send.

    Thanks again..

    Hey

Do you still have the Send to Menu when you right click. If you do you can add it back.

    Windows XP

Double Click My Comptuer -> Double Click C- > Documents and Settings -> Double click your Username eg JoeBloggs, now you should see a list of folders.

If you dont see a SendTo folder, click Tools -> Folder Options -> View (Tab) -> now make sure the Green dot is next to Show Hidden Files and Folders.

Now double click on the SendTo Folder

Click on File -> New -> Shortcut ->

Now type D:\ and click Next -> It will now say type a name, call it what you want, this name will show up in the SendTo when you rightclick.
    Click Finish

    Now its there

    Could be a few things...

    Is D: your burner?
Have u put a Blank CD or a RW in the drive?
If its RW, is the disc formatted ?

Have you got Roxio installed on your comptuer?

    Regards

    Addition:

Another suggestion would be Double Click My Comptuer, right click on the CD Burner, then go to Properties, click the Recording tab, and make sure enable CD recording on this drive is ticked.

I think it has something to do with the CD's you are using.

Windows cant burn to CD-R's from Windows Explorer, but can with CD-RW's.

Yes, this is my DVD burner.
Yes, I put a blank disk in, not a rw.
Not quite sure what Roxio is, don't
think I have installed, do I need?

Windows cant burn to CD-R's from Windows Explorer, but can with CD-RW's.

You will need to use a burning program to burn to CD-R's

Has the CD-RW been formatted ?

Try a RW that already has stuff on it, that you have used preveously.

Have you seen if Enable CD Burning is ticked?

I tried that and it said my was a read only.
when I burn my movies i use 321 xcopy, and it works great, fast burning process.
So i assume cd burnings enabled.
    Is it hopeless?
    hope not.

What files are you trying to send to the drive?

When you use the SendTo, it is using Window's XP burning software, not your other burning software.

Check to see if this is enabled ?

It is better to use a program like 'Nero' to burn files to CD. Windows CD Burner isnt that reliable.

There could be a program like InCD causing problems.

My advise would be, just to use Nero to burn your stuff onto CD, just select Data CD, and Start Multisession. And when you want to add again, just choose Continue Mulitession.
