Around three days ago I downloaded a "windows service pack 1" from windows updates. The next day I go to turn on my computer on then it takes like 4 minutes to log in! "I'm like wtf"! So eventually it does something but then the screens just black for a little while. When I finally am able to see my desktop a message pops up saying "WSAStartup0 failed, or you have the incorrect version of WinSock installed. After that my wireless adapter will not find the signal (which I'm sure is there). Anyone know wtf is going on. Should I get rid of the service pack, and if yes how?
I'm not sure I think it was service pack 2 but I don't remember. Do you know where my computer will tell me what pack it is?
I have a rangebooster G usb 2.0.(WUA-2340). The is no exclamation mark in the device manager. It says the device is working properly. My computer also says the internet status is unknown.
