   can anyone explaine why my documents opens up when i log onto my computer, as it is not in the startup foplder. thanks

   Here is one possiblity.
   
   My Documents > Tools > Folder Options... > View tab > Advanced settings: > Restore previous folder windows at logon
   
   This should be un-checked.
   Click Apply.
   Click OK.
