just bought a new lg 4166. it just won't recognize copy protected dvds. cant play them let alone burn them. back up copys play fine! whats up man! please enligten me. i'd really appreciate any ideas. thank 1,000,000 in advance.
to be more specific...it won't recog. "newer copy protected dvds" like "final dest.3 and V for vend." most older stuff will back up w/o a prob. i use-any dvd, and 1-click.
i cant say its the drive(prob. not) because the programs dont recognize the dvd either. the auto-run, which is set for all the reading and ripping programs i use just ignore the dvd. no error msgs...just nothing. any help you can give?
i have had problems burning with newer dvd's as well, like fin. destination 3 and scary movie 4, etc....i have anydvd, doesnt recognize the format, but i will say that the dvd's are the 'generic copies' with the gray label that come from netflix now.....but the burner at my friends house works fine with them....the problem is with an hp 740i burner, but the one that works is a sony dW-22A...ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!.... thanks...
