my dvd say no disc

    halo,
    I have the sony NS50P its turning on but doesn't read the cd by giving me the warning called NO DISC how can i solve this. please help me to work it out ilke the lable Sony.

    It's About 4 Years Old. the Laser Might Be Dead Or Need Cleanig. You Should Really Consider Replacing It.

    It’s probably something with the laser that reads the disk. It could be dirty or it might need to be re-calibrated to get it working correctly. If it’s dirty you can take it apart and clean it with alcohol or buy a lens cleaner kit. But if it needs to be re-calibrated then you will have to take it in. If you have a warranty don't open it, it might void the warranty. But if you don't want to bother with any of those things it might be easier if you just buy a new one that is more up to date.

    Maybe there is something wrong with your CD.
