Ok so I finally learned how to burn a DVD thank you to "To Convert AVI to DVD with Nero Vision 4 (basic guide), alkohol 20.03.2006 @ 16:04 by creaky

But now when the burn process is finally done, if anyone knows how to speed this up let me know, it will only play in the cheap DVD player that I got, The regular DVD player in my livingroom, won't play them, I was wondering why, and how can I make it so they will play in all DVD Players, I am using Nero Vision 4

What kind of blank DVD did you use?
It looks like many cheap DVD players are more compatible with burned DVDs, and the fancy ones are a little more picky. Some players will not play DVD-R format, some would not play DVD+R. For better compatibility, you should use DVD+R media and booktype to DVD-ROM if your burner has the capability. What burner do you have?

You may want to look up your DVD player.

    http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

DVD-R will play in 93% of all dvd players

DVD+R will play in 88% of all dvd players

DVD+R booktyped to DVD-ROM will probably play in 99% of all dvd players. I just guessing at this one since I couldn't find any exact figures, but the consensus is almost all.

I've also found that the cheap dvd players tend to play everything. It's the name brand ones that chose sides that have issues with one or the other.
