I just got a 2.5 IDE notebook 120gb hard drive to fit into the eurovox ex5100 Pvr but when I press record it starts recording however nothing happens. It just jumps back to the station I was watching and doesn't record. Another time when it did work the picture was terrible- was jumping. Is my hard drive broke or do I need to change settings on the box. Thanks if anyone can help

Right- it is recording but when it is recording the picture has wee squares over it and the picture jumps and even the sound goes away. It isn't the signal because when I stop recording- the picture is perfect. It is sky sports 1 and if the picture is going to be this point the pvr part of eurovox is terrible

More information if anyone can help. My hard drive I got was from novotech and Its a samsung 2.5 120GB/5400RPM/8M/PATA, model No: HM121HC. When I bought it It did say IDE on the hard drive description so Im thinking PATA is IDE? It fits in perfect but when I start recording It just stops and goes back to the program without recording. Then I seen this :

Is that the hard drive I need? I hope not after spending £45 on the samsung one. Or do I need to format the samsung hard drive. Would have though it would be simples. Thanks if anyone can help me. Ive tried everything.
