    Ok, sorry for the wait.

    You're clean.

You have many unnessessary processes running. You can fix these entries with HijackThis if you want to free your memory.(Do a system scan only, check entries, close all other windows, press Fix checked)

And you also have a remaining of Norton running, lets remove it too.

Open Notepad. Copy/Paste the following lines to a new document.

    sc stop SymWSC
    sc delete SymWSC

Save the document to your desktop as RemNorton.bat and file type All FIles
Go to your desktop -> Run the file RemNorton.bat and answer yes to any questions.

    Thanks for the reply!!

so I think you also helped with a different problem, i have 1GB RAM and dual core processors (pentium D) yet for some reason my CPU usage is at AVERAGE around 50-60% even when i basically have no boxes open... so i guess i AM running unessecary stuff BUT... arent some of those things important? like ... Ares (music d/l program), that msn thing (i dont know what that does), whats that burn watcher thing?, and whats gamma loader and image moniter?

(if I turn these things off will anything bad happen? they can be turned back on right?)

Ok, before you fix those, move HijackThis.exe to C:\HJT

Nothing bad will happen if you fix those entries, those are unnecessary startups. For example that ares or messenger, you can start those when you need them by clicking their shortcuts. There is no need for them to be running all the time.

And if you move the HijackThis to folder C:\HJT and you don't delete the folder, the backups are created to there.

Yes there isn't but I ment that you would create one to there, but you can keep the hijackthis in my documents folder too.

Just don't delete that folder if you fix something with hijackthis because the backups are stored in the same folder where hijackthis is.
