my friends HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8483B is having problems

    My friends cd drive doesnt show up on the pc and when i go to check the device it says the driver may be corrupted or missing (Code39)

    does he run a linix system the only reason i ask is because they are the only ones that come up lol, u could always go t owww.driverguide.com, username: driver2 password: all and go thro that that should give u all the drivers u need, it has helped me out no ends.

    However could just mean ur cd-rw is nackered and need a new one
