My game asks for update. will it affect my ixtreme?

    Guys i need advise. i'm playing Naruto - Rise of a Ninja. when i connect to live and start the game, it asks for update.. will it affect my modified console? will i get banned by doing that?

    Sorry i'm a total noob for this one.. TIA! ^_^
