as long as it has the space for the game yes.
The original is only like 8MB so if the game is like
    3-4GB you should be fine.

Your trying to copy TO drive d? Cause that is your DVD drive. Copy FROM d to your HD and see if that works. If you keep getting error 12, the only solution I know of is to replace the DVD drive.

Ok, I see the pic says "error while copying D", not to D, so you are doing it right I think. Like I said before, error 12 is not good. Basically means "DVD drive screwed. Install a new one." Maybe you are making an error somewhere that I am not seeing, but if not, it's probably your DVD drive.

Does the pic actually say 112? World's away from error 12. If it says 112 I think that means insufficient space. What game is it?

Like I said, error 112 means insufficient space on your HD. Now that you say Halo 2 I know that's the problem. Too big.

You could probably just read the documentation and other posts here quicker than it takes for someone to explain every little detail. You need to put them into the directory that your dash looks in for the games. Like a folder called Games and a subfolder for each game that you put on there.

I think Halo 2 is too big for a stock HDD.
    http://www.teammodders.com/viewtopic.php?t=665
see this tutorial for getting Halo 2 to fit on a stock HDD
That or if you are not one of the Xbox Live people then go out and get a bigger HDD and install it and save yourself a lot of headaches.
See if you have any friends who have a spare PC hard drive, even getting a real small one with like 40GB would be a world better than the stock one.
