My HDTV's A/V Outputs

    I would take the spec as to what it says: connect to another component input. My Dazzle capture cable would accept those connections, as would amp or vcr. And also would probably be 24/7 or whatever plays on the screen at the time of capture.

    The A/V output port is pretty straight forward. It will output anything on the screen except those things that are copy protected. Some TVs will down-convert an HDTV signal to standard-def but some will not, depends on the model. The audio outs will work along the same lines. Most TVs will convert Digital-TV/HDTV audio signals to analog but some won't.

    But simply put, if the video is outputting video then the audio will be outputting audio. The only thing I can say for sure is that the best the connection can out put is standard-def analog video and regular non-matrix analog audio.
