Im trying to burn an audio cd and everything has been working fine up until 2 or 3 days ago. I burn one cd then ruin 3 or 4 before I burn a good one. I am finally convinced that it is not the hardware. I've swith between 3 burners and I still get the same write error message. It begins to burn, gets to maybe 4 or 5% then it goes to write error. Please tell me what im doing wrong. ( I even went as far as buying new IDE Cables thinking that was it. But nothing). Heres the log.txt file... Your burner doesnt like the media you are using This is way too fast, try 16X as max Your Nero is several versions behind, go to Nero site and update to 6.6.1.4
Wow... something as simple as lowering the speed on the cd burning from 52x to 16x can make me look like a fool. LOL. It works just great now. Thanks a bunch. just burned 5 cds and working fine. thanks again.
You're lucky thats all it was, yep sometimes even the simple things can cause problems. Make sure you use good media and keep the burn speed down and you should stay a happy burner, Cheers
