I have a pentium 4 2.8ghz with 1.5gb ram. and everything was running fine. Then about 2 weeks ago I started having freezing prblems or everything runs slow. Just to type this it takes forever for my words to show up. I use Nortons sucurity and spyware doctor and nothing is found except tracking cookies that I fix. but it does not seem to be doing much. but I did notice that my system proseses seem to have went up from about 57-60 to 67-68. Can someone please help me with this. Are your Nortan updates current? Nortan should catch the majority of any kind of virus or menacing software running on your system. Have you tried running SpyBot? Most of the processes I can see there look legit so to troubleshoot this problem, I'll have to know exactly what you did to your computer "about two weeks ago" when it started lagging. Did you install any new software or hardware..? *cough* Internet Explorer 7 *cough* Did you machine start making any noises you don't recognize?
