ok so I'm trying to charge my ipod and put a few new songs on my ipod and it craps out on me after giving me about 2 hours of charge. it just flat out gave up! the computer doesn't recognise it at all (no going through my computer and formating) it's not even charging! when I plug it in it kind makes that noise that means it's plugged in. but instead of playing those two notes (first low, then high) it just plays the first note twice (double low) so I'm guessing that means something's funked way up with it. so if anyone has any info that might help me, I'd sure be happy. I tried using that ipod updater thing, but it just said "please connect an ipod to proceed" and i'm like "SHUT UP ROBOT!" cuz that's what I call my computer but that's another story. I'm thinking it might be a problem with the cord. Tomorow, I'll jack my mom's ipod cord and see if it works on mine. In the mean time, if someone could stear me in the right direction of what to do....I'll just shut up now cuz you probably didn't want to read a novel about my retarded ipod.....k bye

ok maybe I still DO need help, because everything else is working in my USB drive. It's just my iPod that isn't working, so I don't think it the computer. But then why does my iPod work on my brother's computer? :( this sucks. Is there some way that my computer could be fine, my ipod is fine, but for some reason, they don't work together? That doesn't make sense
is there a way to format my iPod without the use of my computer?
