My ipod videos(dvd) have the words at the bottom of all the movies..

    What method did you use to convert the DVD's into iPod viewable format? You are probably choosing the wrong sound setting when you are ripping the DVD to your hardrive.

    You can't get rid of them from the iPod, you must have a setting in the software that your are useing that you should/could remove. What software are you useing?
