MY IPOD WONT CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    when i went to plug it in it shows tht thunder bolt charging but i waited for 4 hours and it hasnt budged and when i unplug it it's still there for lik 1 min then it fades

    please someone help

    Is it new? Cause when you first get it it how it may take up to something like 12 hours to fully charge.

    no i tryed everything. i even let it charge for a day.....im just bringgin it back
