Hey ya'll, I have a problem with my iPod. It's an 80 GB Classic. I have Windows XP. I think I may have disconnected when it says 'Do Not Disconnect'... I was uploading songs in iTunes (Version 7.5) when iTunes froze up. This is not uncommon, my computer is about five years old, not the greatest piece of machinery. Anyway, I didn't think it was in the 'Do Not Disconnect' mode, but next thing I know, I restart my computer and pull iTunes up, and it's not recognizing my iPod. Can't sync new music, doesn't even seem to acknowledge that I've plugged the USB in. Ran a diagnostics check and it's saying the iPod is not plugged in, while it is. Any idea what I need to do? My e-mail is preppyrock@yahoo.com, or I'll check back here, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks-
Try doing a Factory Reset, and also another type of reset were you with the ipod on, slide the HOLD switch to HOLD, then back again. Then press and hold the Menu and Center buttons for about 6-7 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
