i have a hp palivon laptop, had it for about a year. no problems. well i inserted some new memory, 256 ddr. i put it in. started it up and everything worked, every thing loaded up. i shut down windows and the laptop shut down. i pressed the start up button but nothing worked. i put in the ac adapter, and the computer started up but didnt' boot up from the harddrive. but the laptop never turns on when the ac adapter was inserted. and the laptop wont even boot up with the battery.
Can you reset the memory back to the way it was? If your problems started at memory upgrade, I would suspect bad memory or poor connection in that area. Jerry
Will it let you get to the bios page? If yes, reset all bios to default settings and see if that helps. If you can't get to the bios page, you may need to reset it manually. This means removing all power for about 5 minutes including the internal on board battery. I'm just guessing here because of the no startup. Jerry
well no it does't let me load up to my bios page. it just a blank screen, showing just the blue lights, like the caps light and another 2. but remember thats when i insert the ac adapter and it turn on its self. reader34
